I am a Financial Advisor, experienced entrepreneur and business owner. I studied Economics at the University of Florida. I am a twin dad and former motocross racer. I love spending time in the mountains and enjoy continuously learning about behavioral finance, economics, and valuation.
I graduated form the University of Florida in May 2008, right before the economy experienced the worst of the financial crisis. I figured this would be a great time to start a new business. I opened Tipple’s Brews, a craft beer and wine store, in 2009 at the worst part of the financial crisis. Fortunately, it was a great success. We become one of the best rated specialty beer and wine stores in Florida, and was recognized by Men’s Journal as one of the top 50 beer stores in the nation.
After having my twin boys, I decided to leave the retail environment and sold Tipple’s Brews and began working as a financial advisor. I have always been intrigued by the markets, having bought my first stock in the 3rd grade. Financial planning became important to me as well after dealing with the aftermath of my father’s death in my early 20s. I also noticed that there was a great opportunity to offer financial advice by charging flat fees, rather than tying compensation to commissions or asset levels.
In additional to financial advising, I also work as a business consultant, where I have worked with tech startups and retail business across the globe.
